This is what I was suspecting: that object oriented storage and distributed
filesystems are taking over but they still use some form of RAID internally behid the
scenes.

Pretty much like when they used to say that hard drives were dead in the consumer
world because everyboy would be using the cloud... except the cloud itself is powered
by hard drives.
