FYI, I did try it with DOOR.SYS and it works fine.  I still think I might
have something wrong with the extra command switches that are in the
ORACLE /? examples for GTUSER.  I am not sure what the value of /Z or /Y
should be.  I figure from the example that /Y is the locked port rate (mine
is 115200), but I was not sure about /Z.  I maybe had it set wrong?
