He has added some code to the script that will include a blurb to notify the potential sysop how important the email address they enter is and also some code that will check for a vaild MX entry for the domain entered. That should keep new sysops from sending emails from/with *.synchro.net (or other invalid) accounts that are not set up to accept mail. It won't find all potential address errors, and won't force them to fill out the required applications, but it is a start to at least getting a good address to communicate with them.
