Back in the 20th century I ran my BBS with Renegade & D'Bridge. I don't remember if I had to use GEcho or similar to process the echomail. When I think back DB tossed all the mail and Renemail imported them in to Renegade but for the life of me I cannot remember if I am correct or just have fake memories.
