There are some softwares that do message threading, like BBBS for instance. I 
thought Synchronet did it also.

I'm in the same camp as some other folks here; threading doesn't seem crucial.

I've sort of reached the point in the BBS journey where I prefer keeping it 
retro and not trying to bash in all kinds of new age features. Old curmudgeon 
status unlocked...
