I never stopped using offline mail.   When we first got the tin can here
in the woods my mobile data was around 512mb for the month, so I 
switched to offline mail again and never looked back.  Sure I have
40GB a month now and don't /need/ to use offline mail, but I like it.

So far it's been working fine. :)
