Where I lived my BBS was a LD call from the main city, but I could call there 
locally (because ma' bell added on a $2 monthly charge to do so for my phone 
exchange wether you wanted it or not).  So to get people to call me, I had to 
have a call back door.  Which it meant for the user that they had to pay for 
ATLEAST 1 minute LD after they signed up just to call.  It was a pain in the 
ass.  I miss the dialup days, but I don't miss that.
