This probably wouldn't be on shareware
CDs, but I'd really like to find an old
IRC client for DOS that used your
serial port and an already established
connection (telnet session) to an IRC
server's plaintext port (6667). It
... err, You would use a regular
terminal program to dial into your
shell account or whatever, telnet to
the IRC server, then quickly exit out
of your terminal program and start up
the IRC client (without hanging up or
resetting the serial port).
It basically spoke raw IRC for you :).

Anyone ever seen anything like that?
