I'm a huge fan of Pfsense... its been running in my home rack for a long time 
now. Only free software I know of that can easily do Vlan on the Wan interface
allowing me to completely remove a stupid ISP-supplied fiber gateway. The 
alternative was putting together an equally-stupid Cisco Catalyst.
