i think wildcat and synchronet's file systems are great.  renegade is the
one with the fucked filebases.  man, i miss filedude.

i'm not a fan of how you search and read msgs on wildcat.

regarding synchronet, it's pretty straight forward.  there's also a lot of 
search options.

back in the day i ran rg and then iniquity, and i had to switch to synchronet 
because i needed something stable. i was using old netmodem and that thing was
total shit.   

i got used to synchronet and i saw how you could make what you wanted. it 
didnt matter that the developer was a totally different type of bbs guy.  i 
could take it and make it what i wanted.   he didnt even know what a oneliners
wall was when he called my bbs.  when deuce called my bbs it blew his mind 
too.

there's good programmers and creative people. and there's not usually a mix of
the 2.  i was creative and smart enough to work out what i wanted.
