Very sad to hear that Ward Christensen had passed away on Oct 11 2024.

For those who don't know, without Ward, we may not have had bulletin boards as we know them today. He was the co-writer of the first BBS software and when he found he needed to send some files, he came up with MODEM which later developed into XMODEM, a protocol that is still used today from time to time on bulletin boards and in other places.

Please take a moment to think of Ward and his family, and let's be thankful for all technological advances that were caused by or because of him.
