Subj : Graphics driver quest To : Ky Moffet From : Barry Martin Date : Mon Sep 29 2025 06:57:00 Hi Ky! > Anyway, back to the graphics driver question (new monitor displaying > noise in VM and remote access Terminals in 75 Hz mode but not 60), > appears the problem might be the cable isn't fully inserted. This > morning the monitor was telling me "mode not supported" (toggle power > button) "cable not connected" (feel under monitor and press up on HDMI > cable). Power on monitor: now behaving. Sinking performance?? Let that concept wash over me.... The only half-working experiences I have with HDMI is the audio not working on a computer downstairs and this monitor with the noise pattern in Terminals. ...And I do have a mini-HDMI adapter to HDMI adapter for my test Raspberry Pi's where it seems the 'handle' around the mini end is a fraction too thick for some cases and really have to make sure to shove in all the way. I need to shave off a smidgen but shove in, which fixes, then forget about it as works and I can get on with my project. ¯ ® ¯ BarryMartin3@MyMetronet.NET ® ¯ ® ....
