This is apparently a common problem with the newfangled weatherproof network connectors that don't have a positive latch, but instead you just give 'em a jerk to pull out. Anyway yeah, not making 100% contact can cause all manner of video weirdness. The junk board inside Moonbase (which I still haven't got around to giving its new board) apparently doesn't quite make contact all the time and it'll develop this weird waveriness, like the screen is underwater. Give the cable a good shove and it goes away. -- More typical with VGA or DVI that's not quite in contact will be a monocolored screen, but I don't know what HDMI does in that boat.
