Devuan's desktop and general way of doing things now default to the PCLinuxOS incarnation of KDE, which I was pleased to see (tho last update somewhat messed up... oh well, it's not my everyday). PCLOS is much lighter on the hardware than most -- startup is 5 seconds flat on a midrange i7, and under 30 seconds on a 15 year old laptop that wasn't much to start with. PCLOS is a one-man-band, Tex is getting on in years and health not good, so I've been hoping to find another distro I like as well, in case no one takes up the torch. So I was glad to see Devuan at least adding the desktop.
