Can't tilt the TV up nor down  but did angle it slightly (left/right) 
and that got rid of most of the glare.  Or at least from the lamp; not 
sure about the sunlight through the window blinds as the angle of the 
Sun has changed with the season.  (OK, technically the Earth's tilt on 
its axis!)  See how things are in the late Spring/early Summer -- maybe 
replace the one blind with the room-darkening type.
