Subj : Glare Filter for TV To : August Abolins From : Barry Martin Date : Tue Oct 06 2020 10:19:00 Hi August! BM> Anyone have suggestions for a glare filter for a 40" TV? Had AA> Did you solve the glare problem? My set rests at about eye-level AA> when seated, therefore no ceiling lights affect it. There is a AA> side-table lamp I like to use, but the TV is not angle enough in AA> that direction to reflect it from my seating location to the AA> right. However, the lamp *does* produce a glare if someone else AA> were seated to the left. Maybe tilt the TV downwards a bit? Can't tilt the TV up nor down but did angle it slightly (left/right) and that got rid of most of the glare. Or at least from the lamp; not sure about the sunlight through the window blinds as the angle of the Sun has changed with the season. (OK, technically the Earth's tilt on its axis!) See how things are in the late Spring/early Summer -- maybe replace the one blind with the room-darkening type. ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® ....
