Yep, he likes to show how things Didn't Work As Planned too, but usually with a Solution or Workaround. > KM> Unlike a few I could name, who spend WAY too much time filming > KM> the mundane and repetitive, and not nearly enough on the useful > KM> bits. > > Yup. Oh yeah, I've seen that too. If they were writing a novel, they'd be the kind who can't figure out how to write action, so instead of showing the fight, they show the argument and then cut to talking about the bleeding bodies. > KM> While back Chris had one comparing various SD card options that > KM> was so useful, I printed out the results chart to carry with me > KM> for when I next buy SD cards. > > Oo! Obviously a reason, but what? http://doomgold.com/pcstuff/USB/ ready to print. :D His video would have been in March but since the New Youtube nuked the Old Mobile Interface (and the joke is on them... ever since, all their ads error out!), I can't get channels to come up (and if they do, there's no way to Sort All by date)... um, I think this was the benchmarking video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUResed38uo and here's another with info on different types of current SD cards, including the numerous speed classes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUResed38uo Hmm. I note that the slower Sandisk SD card is made in China, and the faster one is made in Taiwan. Got a laugh from one of the comments... "this man looks like a cross between the Beatles and Bill Gates." :D (I swear, never a hair out of place and always looks the same. The black shirt is for green screen filming, tho.) A fair generalization for flash storage is that higher capacity is faster, because smaller bits means shorter distance per read/write. Oh, for the Pi enthusiasts, a comparison of Pi OSs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSF_jXGH4EQ > .. Suffer from insanity? No, enjoy every minute of it!
