DS> I'd like to get back up and runnning. I use the ThumbDV from Northwest Digital Radio, with the BlueDV program from David, PA7LIM. However, those will work under Windows 10 or earlier, but NOT under Windows 11. The audio driver and some other things changed in Windows 11, and they no longer work with the ThumbDV or the BlueDV program...and apparently, it's very difficult, if not impossible, to get the Windows 10 audio driver on a Windows 11 system. As for cost and use, the ThumbDV was $80 cheaper than the blue DV Dongle, and the BlueDV program is much more versatile than the DVTools program by AA4RC. While both devices connect to a USB port, DV Tools only accesses the US Trust Servers (Reflectors) with D-Star. The BlueDV program accesses those, PLUS the DCS, XRF, and XLS reflectors with D-Star...plus you can do DMR and Fusion. I know both will connect to a computer, but not sure if either can also connect to a rig. With having congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation...not to mention that lightning is hellacious around here during thunderstorms (and I'm a 2 time lightning strike survivor), I operate "internet radio" only. However, while that angers the "purists", at least my license isn't "just a sheet of paper". DS> ... How do I set my laser printer to stun? Look for the Taser brand (hi hi). Daryl, WX4QZ .... H.A.M.
