At least know it's not just you!  The reason I tried two different 
browsers is one site I've needed to access recently is an archieve -- no
longer active (but new one took over).  Not sure of the details but the 
archieved site was apparently created using Google's archieve resources 
so Chromium knows those commands while Firefox (and other browsers) do 
not and just 'spin'.
