Agree: sometimes 'valid' as "looks interesting" and sometimes just "I'm
not sure what to look for to fix the problem" and so takes all day to
figure out..

I played with Kodi some time back (couple/few years ago) and also wasn't
liking it -- either too much and so too confusing or didn't do what I
wanted.

BTW, for infrared (IR) controlling appears the RPi 4 is missing LIRC --
not sure as fiddling with a project here and by the time I figured out
what possibly to do ran out of time.  I found

And we probably should move this thread as not really on-topic for Ham
radio.  I'll let it be your choice for where as I received and pretty
sure have selected all conferences.  Electronics?  Could rename one that
hasn't been used in ages and piddle off the other SysOps!
