I think Arthur Godfrey had a TV Show from The Hawaii Islands (1950's?). Was Jackie Gleason Licensed as a Amateur Radio Operator? I hadn't heard of Him being Licensed. Oh, BTW I'm thinking Barry Goldwater's other Call Sign was K3EIG . Now don't take that as GOSPEL, it came off the top of Ed's Head. I didn't rummage through old 1960 QST Magazines to find out. Those QST's are stored alongside Radio TV News, Popular Electronics, Popular Science, CQ and Radio-Electronics magazines. I keep my first issue of the Allied Radio catalog here in the pc room. Its the 1959 issue. There is a website where one can read through those old Allied Catalogs ..-... http://www.alliedcatalogs.com/html/1959-180/index_all.html is the web page the 1959 Allied Radio Catalog can be read at. Amoung my stuff is a Radio Shack catalog before they became part of the Tandy Corporation. Junk or Junque, call it what ever You want. It's MY Reference Material! 73 de Ed W9ODR . .
