Subj : Other Ham Radio News To : All From : Daryl Stout Date : Fri Apr 26 2019 11:49:26 Those who follow trains and railroads know that at times, routes have to be changed for various reasons. And, the same applies to ham radio traffic nets. Three of the D-Star Nets done by Daryl, WX4QZ, during the week, are MOVING to the QuadNet Array in the coming weeks...to allow users of D-Star, DMR, WIRES, and Fusion, to check into them. First, the QCWA D-Star Net will make its move, effective May 5, 2019. It will remain at 5pm Eastern Time on Sunday. One does not have to be a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association to checkin. Second, the Food Net will make its move to Saturday at 8pm Eastern Time, effective May 18 (the previous Monday, May 13 net, will be cancelled). H.A.M. stands for "Have Another Meal", and you don't call us late for dinner!! And, considering both Field Day operations, and hamfests, you need to keep the operators and visitors happy, and not hungry. Third, the Trains Net will bring up the markers, moving on May 17, remaining at 8pm Eastern Time on Friday. It will still discuss anything and everything related to trains and railroading, along with a railroad trivia question. Checkins will also be available via the QCWA, D-Star Trains and Railroads Net, and the Digital D-Star Food Net Facebook Groups...or via email... these will begin effective with the move of each net. For details on the QuadNet Array, and on how to connect, go to www.openquad.net Lastly, one can get a menu of selected nets in Adobe Acrobat PDF format by sending an email to wx4qz@arrl.net Daryl Stout, WX4QZ --- SBBSecho 3.07-Win32 * Origin: ILinkNet: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (454:1/33) .
