Subj : APRS Weather Stations? To : David Smith From : Barry Martin Date : Mon May 11 2020 06:59:00 Hi Dave! You found me! (Moved this thread from Ham Radio.) BM> Some day we should get around to comparing our Round ToIt Lists! DS> Lol my list seems to expand all the time. I need to write it down DS> but I don't even remember half the stuff! :) Let see.. Got a DS> model railroad I started on a while back thats still sittign DS> there. From there I started cleaning out a old milk barn where my DS> "shop" is. Got about half way done with that and had to go work DS> on some stuff in the house. Then all the little electronic DS> projects all over the place that I start. I seem to just rotate DS> around from one to the other! :) My What I'm Going to Do Today is a mental list (um, in my head, though a little crazy!) and depends somewhat on the weather: not going to be doing yard work in the rain. Do have scratch paper/note cards and pens in various palces in the house, not for writing down what to do but sometimes at 'odd' times like brushing my teeth or drifting off to sleep I'll think of a potential solution on a project. So have a little stash of paper in the bathroom cabinet and in the bedside table. BM> I'm still working on my little IR project: ran into a bit of a snag BM> because the brand of TV (and so remote control) wasn't listed on the BM> LIRC site. Seiko was but I needed Seiki. Typo maybe? Nope. There is BM> a way to create one's own 'decoding chart' but sounds like a lot of BM> work; did finally one on-line and troubleshooted that; hope to test BM> today. DS> I hope the one you found will work! I finally found one, plugged it in, and -- nothing. Did a help post to the MythTV Forum (because where is going to be used and they have used remote controls instead of keyboards); got an impressive reply (detailed) which helped but I ran into a snag near the beginning; should get a response back this morning. BM> Done! ...Did??! DS> Hah you did! I didn't even notice at first! :) Sneaky that way! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
