It doesn't get used, while the smaller one does. It's KM> probably jealous. Power packs are passionate too! Just thought of something, and I could look it up but : alkaline rechargeables are charge before use because they loose charge sitting around. Lithium are charge after use as they retain their charge when idle. So what about NiMH? > I don't recall why it's so large - I know the original purpose was to > act as a back up power supply for a Raspberry Pi. ..After it didn't > switch over I learned about the parameter I needed to look for in the > specs -- which of course right now I don't recall. Still useful: used > for the battery of a 'flashlight' using a LED book light during power KM> My little power bank has its own flashlight! Mine does also. Not too bright, but bright enough to find the real flashlight. > outages. Apparently we 'glamp'! Even had TV: I charged up a couple of spare UPS batteries and used them to power a small TV. ...Charged via solar chargers I had for another project. > .. Onion rings are vegetable donuts KM> Oooh. Gimme some donuts. They may become a valuable commodity: the mini ones were a little over $2.00 a few years ago then the price skyrocketed, approaching $3.00 -- I can treat myself with better stuff, though they are tasty! ...Stick in there somewhere I'd only buy when less that $2.00 (and stock up a little). Now their price has come down some but still IMO too expensive. The other day the store had them on sale at 2/$4.44. So $2.22 each, though I did buy two: eating one package currently (over the last few days) and froze the other. ¯ ® ¯ BarryMartin3@MyMetronet.NET ® ¯ ® ....
