When it wasn't being used I took the coin cell out and put it in a zip lock plastic bag then put the bag in the camera case. Also scribbled on a piece of paper "No Battery" then Scotch Taped the note over the battery compartment on the camera. The first Digital Camera came with a Rechargeable Battery. I think it was at Radio Shack where I found a AC Charger for that type of battery. Bought a second battery for that camera so I'd have a spare to use when I needed it. I carried that camera on my belt in a Chase Logic (TM) bag. Used it over 10 years until I fell down and the camera wouldn't turn on. Called camera store and was told they can't repair it. Next camera, that I use now, uses 4 AA Cells. Got it from a family member who had 't used it since getting a Smartphone to take pictures with. The first Digital camera is a Olympus Stylus 7030. The current camera is a Canon PowerShot A630. Ed --- SBBSecho 3.20-Linux * Origin: ILink: CCO - capitolcityonline.net (454:3/105) .
