Yeah.. that's a good way to stall a proper answer. At least

VoIP requires a minimum DSL connection (existing copper), which  
wouldn't work for me.  I'm out of range for DSL service.

Many people I know, hang on to their (expensive) POTS phones  
and do not realize that they can have a ZTE solution like I  
have and port the number to the cellular service, if the cell  
service is good in their region.
