Yes, of course.  And based on an e-mail I tried to send yesterday I 
think the problem isn't due to the PDF attachment, nor an attachment, 
but something in the message itself.  I couldn't find it: thought it was
a fault code (those 0x things) I referenced -- altered that, still 
errored.  <shrug>
