CTRL-Z is called Undo. I 'think' whatever was undone would still be in the Clipboard. There may be a similar utility in Linux like the Clipboard Viewer at c:\Windows\system32\ clipbrd.exe on the XP box here. I have used a Ubuntu CD several times to take a look see at how U'u works. U'u is an abbreviation that Jean Parrot used in the FIDO Windows echo many years ago used when talking about Ubuntu there. I never installed U'u, only ran it off the CD. Also tried looking at MINT the same way. I like Linux a bit but never got to wanting to Dual Boot it. I started using C=64 BASIC, then played with MS-DOS 2.11 on a XT at work. XT BASIC looked fairly similar to what I did on the Commodore 64 so I played a bit with it on that XT machine since several Books that came with it helped me to learn about it. I never learned much about Assembly Language or Machine Code. I read a lot but it wasn't as easy to learn as BASIC, DOS & Bat Files were. And what I know is just the basic things. About the most complicated BASIC code that I have written was for a program that printed Labels on the computer at Church. The older program was used with a Tractor Feed Dot Matrix printer. It printed one label at a time. When a Ink Jet printer replaced the older printer, labels could be printed on Letter Size paper sheets (can't recall if that paper has 3 labels across the sheet or 5 of them). Anyway, the new program on the Church computer had output meant for the old printer that wasn't used anymore, so I wrote a BASIC program to print the first line to each of three labels, the second line and so on . The code which caused my wrist, elbow and shoulder to hurt when I pat myself on my back is this: CLS FOR b = 0 TO 2 FOR a = 0 TO 4 INPUT a$(b, a) NEXT NEXT FOR a = 0 TO 4 FOR b = 0 TO 2 PRINT a$(b, a), NEXT PRINT NEXT I was proud to make that computer go loop-a - dee - loop to print whole sheets of labels back then My little program was used one time a year, for a couple of years.Afterwards the Church got a newer PC system with another program that did more than the little routine I wrote.
