Agree.  ...I just did a quick check: went to wunderground.com -- typed 
like that.  The magic "https:/www." appeared.  Also noted no padlock 
symbol; half-remember that's been gone for ages and I didn't 100% 
believe in it anyway: seems like it would be too easy for bad guys to 
programme in to pop that up.

The good news is Firefox seems to remember if a site just needs 'http'; 
just checked with one of the cameras here.
