Correct: screen measurements are measured diagonally.  ...We sort of 
always do a compromise between a large screen and portability.

If weverything is working except the phone for now you have it connected
properly. :)   There has always been some confusion in the industry as
to what is 'in' and what is 'out'.  Tangent example: with an amplifier 
the 'Phono' port could be in or out: it's the input for the turntable 
but also takes the output from the turntable.  All depends on the
engineering departartment's point of view.  As for computers I've
generally found it's from the user to the 'data source'.  My output is 
connected to the next device's input; that device's output goes to the
next device's input.

More to remind of compatability issues.  When purchasing make sure the 
potential new device has whatever protocol you need for your current 
devices.  I tend to 'buy for the future', so the new device is latest 
and greatest (up to a point!) but sometimes the new device will drop an
old protocol; would make the new device not work for what I want.

....That mess of a paragraph is more as a reminder to check the details.

Nice neighbour!  Actually I mentioned Amazon and eBay only as reasonably
decent references.  Sort of like flipping though the Sears Catalogue and
then buying locally at Hank's General Store.
