Know that feeling!  ...Back in the old days (1980's) I added a second
slide-out tray for a second keyboard: the added one fit above the
original keyboard tray (barely!).

Just thought of something: what about a virtual keyboard??!  Checked at
Amazon (just because quick and easy) and look to be between $45 and $55.
Still carrying around a projection box, plus need something to project
on to.
