I was initially thinking of limited range (~33 feet) but the new BT5.0 
has a range up to 800 feet.  

As for security, doesn't one have to pair during a limited time?  It 
seems if not paired within the allocated period it doesn't connect.  
(This is a sort of a 'statement-question' as I'm not sure.)
