Subj : slow the growing of g To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Sun Jul 02 2023 08:07:00 Hi Daryl! BM> Maybe the lawstarter.com folks? Possibly have them remove a little of BM> the ivy at a time: wouldn't add a huge chunk of time to their schedule BM> plus smaller bites of you paying them. DS> I thought about that. They did a real good job this last time. DS> I also found out that my monthly house insurance is increasing by DS> $50 a month, starting next month (over $260 a month). Had it gone DS> much higher, I would have had to consider reducing coverage. Most DS> claims still require payment of a $1000 deductible. Of course they increased it! :( Just thought of something: does Arkansas have a homestead (or similar) exemption? Wouldn't do anything for insurance cost but would decease your Property Tax. Here have had the Homestead Exeption for ages; Iowa just enacted another one for 65-and-older. (Property taxes lag a year, so not immediate help but at least future help.) BM> Also consider if the ivy just needs to be trimmed back or removed in BM> certain sections: it might look welcoming by the entrance and help cool BM> the west side of the house, or maybe as a low boarder around the house. DS> It's more on the north side of the house and in the back yard. DS> And, it has also spread to the neighbor's yard. The gift that keeps on giving! ¯ ® ¯ BarryMartin3@MyMetronet.NET ® ¯ ® ....
