Subj : Daryl's Status March 31 To : All From : Barry Martin Date : Fri Mar 31 2023 19:06:00 Hi Folks! Forwarding an e-mail I received from Daryl: You likely have seen on the news, that the Little Rock, Arkansas area, was hit by a large tornado. I am okay, but there is significant tornado damage in much of West Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Jacksonville, among many other areas. There was no damage here, thank God, but one local hospital reported at least two dozen injuries, with several of those listed as critical. There were many reports of homes and businesses damaged or destroyed, with numerous vehicles flipped over, damaged, or destroyed. There are also at least 80,000 people without power. The region is still under a particularly dangerous situation tornado watch into this evening, with a moderate to high risk of tornadoes. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll do this all over again Tuesday into Wednesday of next week. I still have lightning in my area, as of 6:30 p.m. Friday evening, about 4 hours after the tornado hit the area. So, I likely will be off the air, ham radio wise, and offline, BBS wise, until Saturday morning.
