(Cue the bears in Goldilocks!) Personally I'd be bored BM> with constant comfortable temperatures. Some folks are never satisfied or happy. BM> Just still might get carded! I got carded years ago when I went down to the Train Station into a place called Slick Willy's (in place before Bill Clinton ). I was going in there to play pinball, eat pizza, and drink root beer...and I still got carded. BM> Probably more of an withdrawl than an actual Scrooge morphing. Reminds of the scene from Caddyshack, where the guy's "digging for gold". :P BM> I'd probably be looking into a Meals on Wheels type of programme. The problem is, you have to have Medicaid for that. The only Medicaid I have pays the monthly premium for Medicare...but that's it. So, in essence, I don't have Medicaid. BM> May as well make it tasty! Some pills, etc., have a BM> aftertaste. Too bad you can't chew them like candy. BM> Misbehaves does it?! Generally not a good idea to leave things alone BM> too long when cooking: the pan will boil over onto the stove, the BM> toaster will burn the bread, microwave will explode. That happened to BM> me at the store: heating up my usual "Rice-and" dinner ([leftover] BM> meat, vegetable, rice -- cheap, easy to make-ahead, tasty), turned BM> around to go back to my table to get water or something - muffled boom! BM> Turned around -- thought the lid of my bowl had somehow resealed and BM> blew off. Microwave was dark. Other guy in the Break Room said there BM> was a bright flash at the 'boom!. Or there was a fire that started. BM> Plus adds a bit of flavour, so could have a ham/balogna/whatever BM> sandwich and adding a different condiment would alter slightly -- maybe BM> not a 'new' flavour but at least different. It is that...but I get burned out on the same thing day in and day out. BM> Or Gouda cheese and Badda cheese! There you go. BM> I'm thinking more of a looks/appearance thing: generally a car or two BM> parked on the front yard looks a little tacky. There's a similar BM> ordinance here, maybe a little stricter as not allowed to park a BM> trailer/camper in the driveway or street for more than a few days. BM> (Not certain of the specifics as don't have one.) A few of the BM> neighbours in the extended neighbourhood do -- will see their campers BM> parked in their driveway or curbside mysteriously appear for a few days BM> and then disappear for a while. Same with boats. Why does one of the "You Might Be A Redneck" jokes come to mind?? BM> I sort of remember those. Grab-and-go type meals could be very handy BM> for busy times at the office, etc. ...Not sure applicable during a BM> pandemic lockdown -- trudge-trudge-trudge all the way to the kitchen! If I don't have to go out, I stay at home. And, with an unsettled and stormy weather pattern forecast this next week (as if the tornadoes this past Friday night weren't bad enough), I'll be staying home much of the week, and the BBS is likely to get a vacation, as it were. I have to release a square dance publication on Wednesday, so I'm hoping that the weather will cooperate in that regard. BM> I'd probably use a paper napkin over toilet paper, though if at a BM> public rest room and out of towels then toilet paper is great! The Toilet Paper...The Scoop On All The Poop. BM> Right. Some people can have the same thing day after day; I got burnt BM> out on sandwiches for lunch at the store even though I mixed it up: BM> balogna one day, leftover chicken chunks another, etc. Variety is the spice of life. BM> "Wow! Nothing to pay for a year!!" Last couple/fews cars I've had to BM> buy had a no-payments-for-3-months sort of deal. I started paying BM> almost immediately: had the money available, plus cuts the overall BM> interest on the total loan. (I also paid twice a month - half with BM> each paycheck. Not as big a glup, plus nibbled away at the interest and BM> paid of early because of '4-4-5': every third month had an 'extra' pay BM> period.) For now, it doesn't look like I'll have to sell the car. A fellow square dancer and his wife took me to and from a dance last night, as I hadn't been out at night since the eye surgery. While there was still some glare (especially from the halogen headlights), it wasn't as bad as before. Yet, I don't drive at night, unless I have to. BM> Heck, I can do that here! No, not 'exhibitionist' nor 'kinky' -- we're BM> on two different levels of the two-story house! Or like the snakes with HISS and HER bathrooms. Daryl ....
