Lately, he has been going to Hooters...but it has to be a place where he can, plus "do his vices" of smoking and drinking. I don't see how he can afford it...never mind the health risks. I saw one meme of two owls coming out of Hooters...and they said "That was NOT what I was expecting". Personally I generally liked the 'doing BM> something different' of cooking -- take a break from studying or BM> building/repair of the current electronics project, etc. I was practically out of food here, so I went to the local Kroger store, as Tuesday is Senior Citizen Discount Day, where you get a 5% discount on the bill. I committed the grave sin of "shopping hungry", but lately, when I've eaten out, my digestive tract rebels afterwards, and I have to go find a litterbox, that isn't being used by a cat...as Uncle Monty Zuma and his Dad, Crampa, come for a visit...which turns out rather crappy. :P But, most times when I eat at home, they stay away...I wonder why?? Anyway, I bought several Marie Callendar "bowls", including: 1) Chicken, Macaroni And Cheese 2) Beef Pot Roast 3) Lasagna 4) Pulled Pork, Macaroni and Cheese I loved the sign on a BBQ restaurant...I like my butt rubbed, and my pork pulled. Then, I bought 2 boxes (16 count) of the White Castle cheeseburgers, affectionately known as "gut grenades". But, I love sauteed onions. All of the above are microwaveable. I also bought some more Buddig Lunch Meat (black forest ham), and 3 loaves of bread, for lunch meat sandwiches (these require no cooking at all). I still had plenty of ketchup and mustard for the sandwiches. The lunch meat slices are extremely thin, though...around 8 slices in a package. Next, I had to get some snacks for my sweet tooth from Hostess... including: 1) Cinnamon Rolls 2) Cinnamon Baby Bundt Cakes 3) Lemon Cupcakes I had to avoid anything with chocolate and caffeine, as it sets my heart racing. As you know, I have atrial fibrillation, but with getting the stuff to the car at the store...then moving it from the car to the house (from the living room to the kitchen and elsewhere). I had thought about some soups, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. Also, I had to get paper towels, toilet paper, Depends, and Dawn antibacterial dishwashing liquid, that I use for hand washings. In total, the bill was nearly $250...but with the Kroger VIP Card, I got double fuel points. And, with the survey I'll fill out in a bit, the next time I get gas there, I'll get 50 cents a gallon off. But, I should have enough food and drink (I still had 8 bags of PopSecret Extra Butter Microwave Popcorn, and plenty of packets to make lemonade koolaid) to last the rest of the year. Years ago, a few days before the end of the year, my wife and I loved pulling a practical joke on our friends. It was maybe 3 days left in the year, and we'd tell them "we're not having sex for the rest of the year". They'd get this horrified look as if we were going celibate for a long time...until they realized how close it was to the end of the year. Lastly, I saw a hilarious file on Facebook in the Shreveport-Bossier City Hamfest group...on "The REAL cost of ham radio". Twice, there was noted a rather large sum for "Hobbies For The Wife"...and toward the bottom, there was a large sum for "Divorce". I guess you could equate some of that to BBSing. Daryl ....
