Subj : All PIN Numbers Leaked To : David Smith From : Barry Martin Date : Sun Nov 28 2021 07:23:00 Hi Dave! BM> I sold both of them back in the old days! Took quite a bit of time to BM> programme the bag phones and the last part had to be in the store's BM> vestibule because the signal wouldn't penetrate through the metal roof. BM> Perk was going outside for a little while when the weather was nice. DS> I remember my first phone was a bag phone. I thought about one of DS> those hand held ones but they were so big and bulky back then. DS> Sure wouldn't fit in your pocket like the ones nowdays! lol Same here: at the time my need for a cell phone was primarily for emergencies -- car broke down, come get me type of thing. Could leave it in the (locked) car, but then what about when I'm riding with someone? Convenience wasn't there. DS> Sorry I've been out of the loop the past few weeks. My dad passed DS> away October 31st so I've been in and out ever since. Looks like DS> around that time I got a bad packet and my mail started backing DS> up. Just spent the morning manually tossing them and trying to DS> find the bad one so things seem to be back up and running now. DS> Just got a boat load of mail to catch up on! :) My condolences on your Dad's passing. Bad packet is just a nuisance. Any tidbits of advice you would like to give us? My Mother is 92 and "we've been preparing for years" which sounds horrible and morbid but major items like Power of Attorney and Health Directives and little things like having a key to the house and telephone numbers. I think ILink has a conference called 'Seniors' -- can move to there if you wish. ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® .... I wasn't going to do anything today.
