"The kids" working in the department (about to graduate of just graduated high school) didn't like to sell the cell phones because they took so long to programme: they were missing sales and so usually ignored or otherwise gave the cell phone customer to us 'oldsters'. There was a rather hefty commission on cell phones to compensate for the time so we didn't mind. Plus the carrier company would do breakfast meetings, prizes for best sales, etc., so 'the kids' were short-changing themselves! Anyway, back to flip phones, one of the nice thing about them is 'self- packaged': its outside is the case. Fold, stick in your pocket, done. The semi-obvious things to cnsider is the screen size -- can you read the incoming call numbers? Also the button size (and feel). If one has 'fat fingers' or even a bit of intention tremor be certain to get bigger buttons!
