Subj : Where did my packet passw To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Fri Jan 22 2021 07:17:00 Subject: Where did my packet password go? Hi Daryl! BM> Even then a little cautious as your car insurance might go up some, BM> state car registration fees... Hopefully gas consuption will go down. BM> Was thinking when I got my 'little yellow wind-up' years ago: I'm still BM> getting gas every three weeks! It's supposed to be using less gas! BM> Well, the old car's tank was about 25 gallons and the new car's is 11. DS> I asked them about it, and they said "it DS> shouldn't"...especially since I wasn't at fault. I sent the title DS> off to this business via FedEx yesterday. The business is in DS> Conway, 30 miles to my northwest...but they noted that "The DS> Postal Service has been losing vehicle titles, etc. left and DS> right lately". That doesn't surprise me...I've experienced that DS> for years. Get enough people together and they can tell horror stories for each delivery service. Every so often one hears about the piece of mail delivered fifty years late -- the other carriers didn't even exist then. I've also had USPS loose mail; UPS damage a dog crate (fortunately no dog inside!). Can't think of anything off-hand with FedEx and DHL. ....Ah! May have figured out why one carrier is having issues (but can't recall who was doing it): ordered a mirror in a decorative frame -- approximately 4' x 18". Arrived cracked -- more like smashed at the break. Called, get replacement. That one also was damaged -- just cracked, but still not usable. Third one -- you guessed it: cracked. DS> ... Yeah, I BBS -- but I can control it. BM> Suuuuure you can! DS> Well, I'm lucky to logon just twice a week now, just to do the DS> QWK Mail. I don't do the doorgames at all right now.
