Subj : Another Day In The ER To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Thu Jan 14 2021 08:30:00 Hi Daryl! DS> .................................................................. DS> ........ .....................................................n't BM> (There's that strange series of elipsises again!) DS> I guess neither of us can remember what was typed. Or it was censored! ...I don't recall what a series of repeated characters like that meant: ZIP/UNZIP error? BM> I don't recall either of my dogs eating bananas. First one didn't beg; BM> second one _required_ she be given just a nibble of whatever I was BM> having. One night was ignoring her -- probably eating something I BM> didn't think she'd like or too messy -- thought I felt something on the BM> side of my leg. Looked down, no she's over there at her spot, looking BM> at me in anticipation. Minute or two goes by, another light pressure BM> on my leg. This time catch her moving back into position. all slobbery and joyous> Find something to give her; she takes the BM> morsel, eats it, and wanders off to her room. DS> If you give into them once, you've corrupted them forever. She was adopted from the Scott County Humane Society and they had been given very little information. There were signs of abuse -- more mental than physical. As for her begging and 'corruption', we took it as just one her little loveable quirks. She also loved to go for car rides but never looked out the window. Figured maybe at first because she was so short and couldn't see out, so held her up: pretty much was a 'uh-huh' reaction. DS> Like the ones who check the fecal samples. :P BM> Now that's a sh---y job! DS> I'll bet the salary, benefits, and conditions, stink, too. :P I'm not so sure I'd want to be a fly on the wall there! ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® .... Q: What has four wheels and flys?
