Didn't intend to turn this into a BM> debate, just a reminder there are multiple rates and options out there, BM> so can be helpful to ask. Well, I've never had a problem with FedEx...especially with ham radio license exam results. Federal Law notes that I have 10 days after the license exam session, to get the results to the Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC). Now, if I see weather will be an issue, I'll pay extra for the overnight service, instead of the "3 Day Super Saver". Either way, anything I've sent via FedEx has always gotten there when promised. Unfortunately, if the addressee is at a Post Office Box, you have no choice but to send it via the Post Office...as FedEx, UPS, and DHL, will NOT deliver to Post Office Boxes. BM> Loosing the decals seems like a good trick, but I could see how that BM> could possibly happen: truck caught on fire, dropped off at wrong BM> business with their multiple package shipment (and that business didn't BM> notice or care to correct. Other maybe's. Well, we had it noted on the label where to ship it...and they dropped the ball. So, it got to be where we referred to UPS as "OOPS!!". There was a joke that they were going to combine Federal Express, with United Parcel Service, and it'd be known as "Fed Ups". Well, I've got a graphic where one of each vehicle collided with the other one at an intersection. BM> Have had problem with the Post Office: the occasional piece of missing BM> mail. Can't think of a package issue right now but probably (and a lot BM> of damages were more due to the shipper using flimsy containers than a BM> 'Postal Elephant' sitting on them). What's worse (if this wasn't enough) is that I'm still getting items addressed to my late father, late wife, and late Mom. But, if you hand it to them, noting "return to sender", more often than not, they just throw it in the trash. You have to pay for an envelope to put the item in, and then pay the postage, mailing it back to the supposed addressee. Yet, I think some of these organizations are using false addresses. BM> FedEx, DHL, UPS: generally good luck, though do recall someone shipped BM> to me a dog crate for my newly adopted dog and it got lost by the BM> carrier. Was replaced. You got lucky there.
