Subj : Finances To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Sun Jul 26 2020 09:02:00 Hi Daryl! DS> Not to get too "political" or "spiritual" here, but it is also DS> taking on a "religious" deal, with Biden wanting to cater to DS> Islam, and Trump (and the Christians) wanting no part of it. BM> As I recall Obama did that too. DS> If you look at which President was friendly to Israel, it was DS> Truman who made the US the first country to recognize Israel's DS> right to exist back in 1948. During the Yom Kippur War in 1972 (I DS> think), Nixon (while apparently not overly fond of the Jews) did DS> authorize an airlift there. But, Trump has done more for Israel DS> than any other president that I can recall. Some Bible Prophecy DS> commentators have said that "the last trump" means that "Trump DS> will be the last President before the bottom falls out". In DS> watching the news clips or reading the stories of the rioting, DS> etc., I have to wonder. It is interesting to see and try to figure out how the predictions are being analyzed. DS> Some may feel that if you use a dark theme on your web browser, DS> or the dark Facebook theme, you support BLM. DS> But, I've always preferred the dark theme, as it was much DS> easier on the eyes...and this was long before BLM became part of DS> the news. If my eyes start burning (not because of a f@r+ ), DS> then it's time to get away from the computer or TV for awhile. I DS> use Systane eye drops for dry eye syndrome...which is especially DS> bad if you're needing to drive...you obviously can't drive with DS> your eyes closed. Well, one could, just usually leads to bad results! As for 'black' or 'white' themes. for me it "sorta depends". While BBSing my read mode is a medium blue background and I think black text. Reply mode is black background with a light-light gray text. The XP terminal screen is also light gray on black -- maybe default, I don't recall it's been so long since I fiddled with that. On the Linux side I use a darker destop background; writing (LibreOffice) it's paper white background and black text. The Terminal window had a dark black background -- it isn't as black as Windows'. OTOH Xmessage is a light gray background with black text. DS> I may have mentioned this in another area or message...but a DS> female in California took the expression "P!$$ 0N +H!$" to the DS> max in a Verizon store, after being told she had to wear a DS> max...she dropped her pants and panties, and proceeded to urinate DS> on the floor. The police were on the way already, and she was DS> arrested...then, it was discovered she had a bunch of stolen DS> items in her car. BM> There are better ways to protest. And sounds like she wasn't too BM> bright in the first place. DS> Not sure if she was blonde or not. But, as you said, there are DS> better ways to protest and disagree. At least she didn't defecate DS> on the carpet. Her piano already did! DS> That's all that matters. But, you need to be kind to DS> dentists...they have fillings, too. BM> Hopefully they didn't do their own! DS> Sort of like with using the Taser as a police officer. You have DS> to be "tasered" first. It is extremely painful, and locks your DS> muscles where you can't move for 5 minutes. We watch some of the 'cop shows' and some of the requests/orders appear to be impossible: "GIMME YOUR HAND!!" Well the guy's hand is under his body, there are three officers on top -- can't move much less present the hand.... (And to be somewhat fair some just plain don't attempt to comply.) DS> Thank you. Tagline thievery is both an art and science. BM> As well as a touch of humour/sarcasm. DS> Nancy Backus could teach you and me a few things. BM> I wonder where she is? She did say she had been unusually busy. DS> It does seem she isn't REP-lying very QWK-ly. Just for that you're required to use a 1200 baud modem for the rest of the week. ¯ ® ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® ¯ ® ¯ (Humans know what ® ¯ to remove.) ® .... 1 millionth of a mouthwash: 1 microscope --- MultiMail/Win32 v0.47 þ wcECHO 4.2 ÷ ILink: The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 01-0462 * Origin: ILink: CFBBS | cfbbs.no-ip.com | 856-933-7096 (454:1/1) .
