  Good points. The thing is, he has had a problem sleeping well, as he
is so bummed up now from the arthritis, from the freak motorcycle
wreck 13 years ago that almost killed him (because he was impatient),
that I never know when he may be sleeping. So, I told him to call me
if he needs to talk. If I'm awakened, I can usually go back to sleep
in short order...he can't. It's not that I'm "letting sleeping dogs
lie", but he's going to be angry enough about giving those things up,
or cutting them back...I don't need bothering him to add to it.

  That's like folks thing certain things are a right...but they are
actually an earned privilege. And, the privilege can be as easily
taken away, as it was granted.
