  Sadly nowadays, it's a crime to offend someone. The entire society,
IMO, has "broken down".

mean the death knell of square dancing and other hobbies that require
close contact.

  Well, it's hard enough getting folks to clean up after the dance.
Most are older and disabled (as I am), and it's hard to do work. I
bring either my cane or my walker to a dance, because it's hard to
get up after sitting for a time. In fact, I have the walker next to
my bed.

  When I feel the urge to clean, I lie down until it goes away. <G>

  While I'm not in squalor, and don't intend to let it get that run
down...at least at my late parents home, I don't have to worry about
monthly inspections.

  Right now, the grass is getting tall, but I can't afford to have
the lawn done right now. If Code Enforcement throws a fit, I'll ask
them if they can survive on $1100 a month. They likely will say "No",
and I'll reply "I rest my case".
