 BM> The siren tests here are the first Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m.

  One day, they sounded them, even though there were storms in the
area, but there was no tornado threat. Most of the ones here don't
rotate, but they have horns in each direction for the best coverage.

  That's what you get for fooling her (commercial of JoAnn Worley and
Chiffon Margarine comes to mind <G>).

  Or the cartoon, with the 3 people at classroom desks with the computer
models...

1) The ECMWF (Euro). The student is working feverishly at his data.
2) The GFS (USA). The student is looking at the ECMWF out of the
corner of his eye.
3) The NAM (North America). The student is picking his nose (think of
the scenes from "Caddyshack").

  Thankfully, it doesn't happen that often...but it's still annoying.

  It'll have to wait a bit. Finances this month are tighter than a
frogs [butt] under water. :P

  That was a hard lesson for me. So many are in debt past their eyeballs.
