Subj : Flatulence To : Nancy Backus From : Daryl Stout Date : Sat Jun 20 2020 11:28:00 Nancy, DS> A fellow ham radio operator mentioned a deal he called "spider DS> barkings". I had no idea what that was, and he said "Beano takes care DS> of it", and I went "Ahhhhh!!" NB> I'd never heard of that way of refering to it before... :) Neither had I...but "the light came on" with his comment. DS> Nowadays, I'm afraid it's going to end up as the meme, where the DS> baby's horrifed face notes "OMG!! That wasn't a fart!!" :P NB> Dunno.... as my cousin Esther has always said, "Better out than NB> in!".... Plus, you can get bad cramping from holding it in. A friend of mine said "that one snuck out", and her kids said "You forced it out". :P Janice also noted a quote "Better out, and let it be...for that was the death of Mary Lee". Apparently, this woman was too embarrassed to get excused to answer the call of nature, and major issues developed with her bowels and bladder, and I guess peritonitis set in, and killed her. Another woman locally was too embarrassed to tell the doctor there was blood in her fecal stool...and 9 months later, they had to rush her to the emergency room with violent abdominal pain. However, it wasn't appendicitis, but stage IV colon cancer...they couldn't do a thing for her. I saw a cute meme on Facebook that noted "I got gas for under a dollar today...but it was at Taco Bell". Another meme had changed the seats inside Taco Bell to toilets with seats. :P Years ago, there was a prescription medicine called Zelnorm (I think), that was for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), but ONLY for women. I said "Now, wait a minute!! Our digestive tracts are identical from the mouth to the anus...why just for women??". I never could get an answer...but as it turned out, they discontinued it a few years ago. Daryl .... The other day, a dog peed on me -- a bad sign. === MultiMail/Win32 v0.50 --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (454:1/33) .
