I have not been tested for COVID-19, mainly because of no BM> reason to be tested. Iowa has a programme where one can go on-line, BM> complete a form, and if there are indications further testing is BM> warranted they will schedule an appointment. I get mine trimmed by my hairdresser...her husband does my lawn mowing, etc. I got tested with those 2 nasal swabs...I think they wanted to anchor them to the base of my brain. I'd rather have a prostate exam up my butt, with the doctor having a swollen finger. :P A friend of mine said when her son got tested, after they did the first nostril, he asked what this other device was for. When they said "we have to do both nostrils", he incredulously said "You've got to be kidding me!!". I can tell you, they weren't. BM> Hopefully they don't rush things. I'll admit it would not be nice to BM> having a reduced or worse no income, but worse to become sickened and BM> even worse die. We are getting peaks, but a lot of that is from more people being tested. As noted, I was negative for it...not sure how often one should be tested for it. BM> Ooooohhhh!!!! DS> You didn't pay the bill. BM> Half-though that this morning: flush the toilet, no water. Wash hands, BM> trickle of water. Check out the windows, no water in the street; BM> listen in the basement - no water gushing. (Good thing made coffee BM> last night and the percolator is full!) ...On the news a comment in BM> the crawl and later a live shot: huge water main break about seven BM> blocks north of the house. It's one of the main feed lines and so BM> affecting the entire city. (I did get water back about two hours after BM> woke up.) Bummer to wake up with no water...prepping to do laundry would've been worse. BM> Delivery or DiGiorno? (Catch-phrase for a frozen pizza which I BM> think is available nationally.) It is. I haven't touched Italian food in at least a month. BM> I remember sometimes walking and sometimes riding the bus, though BM> thinking back there didn't seem to be any problems of the bus driver BM> waiting for me and I wasn't there. And wasn't just coming home BM> sometimes not riding as I distinctly remember walking to school and BM> trying to figure out a problem. And for some reason never rode my bike BM> to/from school though did ride and explore in summer. I'm glad those days are behind me. BM> My shop's commercial, part of a chain. Had a hand-made sign stating BM> only ten people allowed inside. I'm not sure if that included the BM> stylists (at the time three) or not as the place isn't that big! Ten BM> people pre-COVID-19 would probably be a little crowded feeling. I'm not sure how her operations will change at Phase 2...but until I can start driving again, I'm not worried about it. Daryl .... Change is inevitable, except from vending machines. === MultiMail/Win32 v0.50 --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (454:1/33) .
