Cordless phones might not have been available back then either... The corded phone on the kitchen wall has had a extra-long coilcord for most of the time we've been living here... we'd worn out a couple coilcords already before we got our first cordless phone... ;) NB>>>> Some supplements can be helpful in boosting one's immune system, in NB>>>> one way or another... :) BM>>> True, though may be skewed: someone taking supplements is probably BM>>> more likely to eat healthier, and do healthier activities including BM>>> washing hands, which would help stay healthy. It's one of a good list of foods and herbs/spices that could be helpful to combat gout, which also includes cherries... one can eat 4 ribs of celery a day instead of taking the usual medication (allopurinol) and get the same results... or one can get it more efficiently with celery seed extract capsules... ;) So I take the capsules daily and also use celery a lot in cooking... :) BM> As for calcium, I take the old-fashioned pill, though one looks like BM> a mispackaged suppository!!
