Or even "good thing I didn't rush into that". NB>>>> True... :) BM>>> And sometimes it's "I really should have done that last week: now I BM>>> have twice as much to do! ) NB>>> True... some days you just can't seem to win for losing... ;) BM>> Yup. Not a bad thing to have it occur occasionally, can be a bit BM>> frustrating but that's the way things go. NB>> And sometimes one learns for the next time... ;) BM> Maybe! NB> One hopes to remember the lessons learned... Hmm? Which 'lessons'? Oh! And then there's the frustration of "well it worked before!" Sometimes can't win. NB>>>>> So when we came to get him, he perked up just a little, recognizing NB>>>>> us as good things from his "former" life.... BM>>>> "I remember these people - they were good!" NB>>>> Yup... or at least, "they weren't all that bad"... BM>>> Oops, yes, forgot the cat's viewpoint! NB>>> After all, he was a Siamese... ;) BM>> You were lucky to be let into the kitty's life!! NB>> He thought so, anyway.... I think he also figured, though, that NB>> he was lucky to have been let into our lives.... :) BM> It would be interesting to know what animals think. OTOH I wouldn't BM> want to know the cat or dog just thought of me as their butler or BM> maid! NB> Or worse, slave... ;) We keep reminding the cats that live with NB> us that they are living with us on tolerance, and that this is a NB> two-way relationship.... supposed to benefit all of us.... ;) And the cats purr and rub along your leg. "Haha, silly human! You think this means I love you; it really is me marking you with my scent and you're mine!" BM>> And some people can do similar: awaken each morning at the same time. BM>> (Wonder how they do at the DST change?) NB>> Probably depends on how they manage to set their internal clock... in NB>> order to cope with the change, one thing I do now is to try to start NB>> thinking in the new time the night before... particularly when I go NB>> to bed... I've not used an actual alarm in over a decade, and even NB>> then, I didn't use one often... I do, though, have the radio on, so NB>> when I do surface into consciousness, I can generally tell by the NB>> programming and the announcer what general time it is... BM> My guess is there are sufficient external cues to reset for the time BM> change: you may have heard the announcer switch and so known one more BM> hour. I would also guess the act of switching the time on clock and BM> watches would make one more aware of the time change and so the body's BM> internal human world timekeeping mechanism is also updated. NB> At least mentally.... ;) The body itself still wants to be on NB> the standard time.... ;) It does! Sometimes lately I've been waking up up to a half-hour later which would be closer to the old/natural time. OTOH could be just because I need a little more sleep. My hunger times seem to be 'moved over' to DST, but then there are constant little reminders like meals to keep it on track with the updated clock. ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
