I think that coincides with the Spring Telefund period.  Maybe the PBS
affiliates in Iowa are doing something different for Telefund?  Heck, I
should check my KET schedule as they could also be doing something
different then.

Thing is, it was not the first season then, either, I don't think.  I think
they added the "new" bit after they'd been on a few years, and then dropped
it again.  I am not sure if the show changed or not when it became "new" as
we've never seen any seasons earlier than those here.
