BM>> If Richard is like us it takes a bit before the "this is stupid: turn BM>> around!" kicks in. I remember trying to go to work: probably cold out BM>> also but the wind was blowing the snow so hard could barely see. BM>> Ended up turning around about a mile from the house. (Found out later BM>> they did close the store about an hour after opening.) NB>> Yeah... he probably got a mile or two from the house before he decided NB>> there was more risk likely than possible benefit.... I tend to bail NB>> earlier, and for less reason, if I'm driving (especially alone).... BM> Nothing wrong with that! There are different degrees of one feeling BM> safe. NB> Indeed... and he always has been more intrepid in nasty weather NB> than I, even back to our college days... ;) "Different strokes for different folks!" :) The bravery (or fearfulness) depends on a lot of factors: I'd be more inclined to venture out in a storm in daylight when can see than at night when only illumination is from the headlights and maybe streetlights. Richard's car may sit higher than yours, so more clearance; the tires might have more of a grip (neighbour with a Jeep just left for work: his tires have a deep 'scoop' while his girlfriend's car are relatively shallow). BM>>> (Darn: just thought of a better subtle joke: watch some old black-and- BM>>> white programme. Resolution probably around 220; now broadcast TV is BM>>> 720 and 1080. ...Too subtle, too technical!) NB>>> That was going to be a joke....? ;) BM>> Only to television engineers! NB>> And here I thought it was just an observation of the reality... NB>> (having spent some time in college being sorta a television engineer) BM> Darn! I should have tried to finish!! NB> As long as you didn't tie yourself in knots trying to make it NB> into a joke... ;) That would put me at the end of my rope! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® .... A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired of thinking. --- MultiMail/Win32 v0.47 þ wcECHO 4.2 ÷ ILink: The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 01-0462 * Origin: ILink: CFBBS | cfbbs.no-ip.com | 856-933-7096 (454:1/1) .
